BGS IC CAE Hosts Guest Lecture on Electronic Crimes Investigations

On November 17, 2016, the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (BGS IC CAE) hosted a guest lecture by Lieutenant Tony VonDerHaar from the Electronic Crime Unit of the Boone County (KY) Sheriff's Office. Lt. VonDerHaar discussed the types of electronic crime investigations he performs and the equipment he utilizes during investigations as well as memorable cases.  Lt. VonDerHaar also discussed careers in law enforcement in general and provided guidance on how students can help prepare for law enforcement careers while completing their college degrees.  Lastly, Lt. VonDerHaar answered questions from the students in attendance.
