Department of Energy Guest Analyst
On November 2nd, 2017, the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (BGS IC CAE) hosted Department of Energy (DoE) analyst Timothy Lawley. The two presentations given by Mr. Lawley detailed the history of the DoE, how the agency works to secure the United States safety, and what steps students should take if interested in the DoE or any analyst position. Mr. Lawley also provided information on the DoE student internship opportunity that is currently open for applications. The internship is located in Washington D.C. and is appoxiamtely 10 weeks throughout the summer. The presentation exposed students to another intelligence agency that could be of interest to students in the intelligence, computer science, and STEM fields.
