The Advanced Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) is a 15 week hybrid program combining 10 weeks of in-class intelligence coursework, followed by a 5 week experiential learning track in either Law Enforcement, Technical Analysis, or Cyber Security. The mission of ATIC is to develop advanced critical thinkers capable of problem-solving and communicating complicated ideas. ATIC provides students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the intelligence community while sharpening their analytical skills.

Over the summer of 2017, three EKU students attended ATIC in an effort to further the studies within the intelligence field. As the first to attend from EKU, they provided insight into their experience at ATIC. All three students agreed that the program “Is a great way to begin your clearance process and to network with members already working within the intelligence community”. Through the program, they conducted research into a variety of topics ranging from the drug trade in Afghanistan, human and drug trafficking along the U.S./Mexico border, and the efforts of anthropologist within the U.S. military. They also received unique trainings and certifications valuable in the intelligence field that are tailored for ATIC students.
