Intelligence Expert Speaks to CJ&S Students
Dr. Fatih Beren, Police Commissioner with the Turkish National Police and lecturer for the Turkish National Police Academy addressed EKU College of Justice & Safety students on domestic security intelligence in democratic societies on Friday, February 19, 2016.
Dr. Beren, also a visiting scholar with the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati, spoke on the concept and definitions of security, pre and post-9/11 policing policies and the question of what is intelligence and who is responsible for gathering it.
The event was sponsored by the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence and the EKU Asian Studies Program.
