UPS Cyber-security Operations Guest Lecture

On November 16th, 2017 the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (BGS IC CAE) hosted Michael Robinson, a UPS Information Security Manager. The event, which was co-hosted by the EKU Department of Computer Science, consisted of two sessions throughout the day. Mr. Robinson discussed his military background and how he trasnferred his skills into the civilian sector with UPS. The presentation detailed the components of cyber-security UPS and other large companies focus on, such as proxy's and penetration testing. Mr. Robinson also offered advice to students on how they can prepare and better themselves for a career in the cyber-security field. The lectures provided a thorough look into the cyber world in the private sector and how many analysis' skills are highly transferable.
