On September 19, 2018, representatives from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) visited campus for an information session with students and lunch hosted by BGS IC CAE.  During the information session, the representatives shared their advice and personal anecdotes regarding the application process.

In a joint BGS IC CAE and HALT event on September 14, 2018, two representatives from the National Security Agency (NSA) graciously spent over an hour on a video call with BGS IC CAE students from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) discussing the NSA and what they look for in new hires.

IC CAE Marshall Students & Staff Help Liberate Victims of Human Trafficking

A group of Marshall University’s Digital Forensics and Information Assurance students, faculty, and staff have assisted in the liberation of nearly 40 child trafficking victims and the arrest of 10 suspected traffickers. They did so through a partnership with the nonprofit group Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.).

Scholar Partners with Local Emergency Management to Translate Disaster Documents

BGS IC CAE scholar, Katie Wyant, completed a semester-long service activity with the local Madison County Emergency Management Agency (EMA)/Chemical Stockpike Emergency Preparendess Program (CSEPP).  During the service activity she translated triage and disaster signage into Spanish, which will be used in future exercises and in the case of an emergency.  Wyant also assisted with the
